How does this work?

Answer: It’s simple, we take our special CE rated light switches and through a unique dye sublimation printing process, we can print any image that you supply or you can choose from our vast range listed in this website catalogue. We use specially developed inks infused into the plastic surface, far superior to any contemporary surface coating which ensures unbeatable wear resistance stability and durability. It is three dimensional which means that the printing is wrapped around the edges of the switch. These switches are so unique that they have a UV rating of 5/6 which means that they do not fade in sunlight.

Can I send you any image or images to print on the switches?

Yes you can but remember that you are legally responsible for the copyright issues regarding the images you are sending. Also, we ask you to act decently and we reserve the right to refuse printing of any images that are deemed to be not permitted by English law. Do you have any guarantee?

Yes we do. We give a 10 year guarantee on all printed light switches.

Can I photograph my wallpaper and send it to you for printing on the switches?

Yes we can do that but remember that materials and printing process that we use are very different to the wallpaper. So although the printed switch will complement your room design very well, it will be not be exactly the same texture and contrast of the actual wallpaper.

How do I become a retailer or wholesale distributor?

It is very enticing to have electrical fittings to match with my room decoration but what if I redecorate?

Our fittings have easily removable faceplates which clip into place.  In the event of redecoration the faceplate can be removed without disturbing either the body of the switch or the electrical connections and a new faceplate can be easily clipped into place.

I am concerned the printing may fade and wear in time.

The printed image is created with specially developed inks which are wear and fade resistant.  The ink is not simply applied to the fitting but also microscopically infused into the surface by .2mm to .3mm using a thermo cured, vacuum process making the finished surface extremely scratch and wear resistant.

Do you provide a design service?

Yes. If you are unable to create the design you require you can contact us with your requirements and we will try to help. Development of an image will be at an extra cost.  Once a description of your requirement has been received we shall email a reply with an indication whether your request is possible and a quotation for the image design.

What can be provided for identification of switches?

Using the DESIGN YOUR OWN facility switches and fittings can be identified with any written sign, STAIRS LIGHT, HEATER, FAN, LOUNGE or whatever.  Alternatively you may wish to have a colour or image indicating the function and this can be arranged as required.

I have found a design I like in the GALLERY range, but it is not really the right colour, can I change it?

Yes and no. The designs in our CATALOGUE range are set and colour options cannot be changed. However, you could create a similar design on your own computer and then upload it via our DESIGN YOUR OWN facility, or alternatively, you could email us via our contacts page and we will try our best to help.

What is your returns policy?

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

For products from the CATALOGUE range you are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods to us within 7 working days for a full refund. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. The product and immediate packaging should be in perfect condition. Products from the DESIGN YOUR OWN category are non-refundable.

I am starting a large project and may need many fittings.  Is it possible for a representative to visit me to discuss my requirements?

Of course we will be pleased to visit to discuss options for a major project.  Please email or telephone outlining your proposals and we will be pleased to assist.

The printing seems like a great idea but how good is the quality of the switches and sockets that you sell?

Concerns about fitting quality are understood and are common these days that is why ALY have considered their customers will require a superior, sophisticated product.  All high quality switches, sockets and fittings used are from the ELSO Scala range of the Schneider-Electric Group.  Fittings have slim faceplates, no fixing screws and comply with all appropriate European standards. Fittings are impact and scratch resistant and the image will not tarnish or fade.
