Back Boxes

Installation method of all fittings is the standard arrangement as used with any normal switch or socket using standard galvanized steel or dyeline back boxes. If required, these can be ordered direct from ALY at the same time you order your switches and sockets.

Installation

Our switch mechanisms are solely supplied to us by German manufacturer “ELSO”.  Installation instructions are provided at the download section. For the UK printed switches, sockets and fittings used are from the GET Ultimate range of screwless accessories.  Fittings have slim faceplates which clip into place and replacement faceplates can be purchased with whatever pattern is required and can easily be exchanged with the existing ones without disturbing the wiring or fixings.

Colours

For items in our Catalogue and Your Image in the Design Your Own option, colour representation will be as accurate as possible, However, printed representation of colours may vary from actual samples you see on screen. The materials and printing process that we use are unique so therefore different monitor calibrations and our colour workflow means some variation is unavoidable.

Faceplates

Faceplates in our Catalogue and Design Your Own ranges are screwless, slim, fire resistant, engineering polyester and fit firmly on to the metal body of the switch or socket. This format allows faceplates to be easily changed or removed when decorating.

Fittings Available

ALY provides a full range of fittings suitable for all domestic situations.

These include:

• single and double light switches
• doorbell
• push button
• double push button (for shutters)
• printing only on the outer frame is possible for all the rest (e.g. Plug, TV Ariel, Tel., PC, etc.)

Copyright & Legal Images

When using the Design Your Own facility ALY is acting as the printer and will provide products with the image of the customer’s choice. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that any image provided does not have copyright protection or that if required, suitable permission is obtained to allow use of the image.

We ask you to act decently and we reserve the right to refuse printing of any images that are deemed not to be permitted by English law. We advise you to seek legal advice in the country that you reside if you are intending to print explicit images onto your light switches, remember that what might be legally permissible in the UK, may be illegal in certain countries or jurisdictions. Aly Design Limited does not accept any responsibility in this regard.

Delivery Period

We aim to have your goods delivered to you within 5-10 days. You will be informed via email when your order is shipped.

Fittings Design

All high quality switches, sockets and fittings used are from the ELSO Scala range.  Fittings have slim faceplates and comply with all appropriate European Standards and have a 25 years guarantee.  Fittings are impact and scratch resistant and the image will not tarnish or fade even if subjected to direct sunlight for long periods of time.

Catalogue & Design Your Own

An extensive range of gallery images are available in the catalogue area to provide an individual effect, these include: Surface Patterns, corporate, Art, Food, Nature, Kids, and many more. ALY products can be printed to match the room decoration making them less obtrusive and more complementary to the interior design. Alternatively they can be decorated to be prominent for easy identification and because the faceplates are easily exchanged the appearance can be altered at a later date as required and without having to purchase and reinstall the whole electrical mechanism again. When using the `Design your own` facility differences may occur from the PC image to the actual 3D printed switch in size and color

Guarantee

Fittings are impact and scratch resistant, comply with all appropriate German and British Standards and have an impressive 25 years guarantee*. The 25 year guarantee is for electromechanical components only. A 10 year guarantee is given for the printed faceplate.

Printing Dye Sublimation

ALY uses advanced printing technology. The printing process is thermo-cured, dye sublimation, with specially developed inks infused into the plastic surface of the switch between 0.2mm and 0.3 mm . This process is far superior to any surface coating and ensures unbeatable wear resistance stability and durability. The advanced printing technology used by ALY allows images to be applied to a three dimensional surface enabling designs to be wrapped around the edge of the switch.

Privacy

ALY respects your privacy. We do not disclose buyer’s information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfillment. In this case, the third party agrees not to disclose any of you details to any other third party.

Replacements

All high quality switches, sockets and fittings used are from the ELSO Scala range.  Replacement faceplates can be purchased with whatever pattern is required and can easily be exchanged with the existing faceplate without disturbing the wiring or fixings.
